The purpose of this is to make this community center accessible to the internet. This center is located at 21802 W Wilson Ave in Wittman, Arizona 85361. It is part of the Association of Arizona Food Banks. Here is their website with some Spanish. They have about 40 pounds of free food available every Thursday 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM to low income families of 1 or more people. To get the above you need a card that is given out at the beginning of every year and then as new people learn about it. Even people on social security can get this.
This year (2017) cards were given out at the center for people with last names beginning with A through G on Wednesday, January 25 at 9:00 AM through 12:00 noon. Bring proof of income if you have it. For last names starting with letters H through L come to the center on Wednesday, February 1 between 9:00 AM through 12:00 noon. Each day has the same times.
For last names that begin with letters M through Q come on Wednesday, February 8 to the center. For last names that begin with letters R through V come on Wednesday, February 15. For last names that begin with letters W through Z, come on Wednesday, February 22. You should also have 2 forms of identification with one (or something else like a mailing) with your street address.
Now on the other website you will see you can come in and get mostly dry goods on every 3rd Monday of the month. You do not need a card for this. Just bring in 2 forms of identification (one with street address) every time you come. I believe there is no proof of income with this. Also on that day at the same time you can also get a big box of dry goods if you are 60 years old or older and are signed up. To get signed up see Sherri Lamb, the president of it and she will fill out a form and send it to the government. Then in about a month you will know if you were approved. Bring proof of income to Sherri.
Here is a 2011 article on them that tells a lot.
